It was a busy Christmas Day in King House Tea Rooms in Boyle yesterday.
Dorothy Shannon and her team of ten served up a free Christmas Dinner for 25 people who live alone.
There was also some entertainment provided by local musicians.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show before Christmas, Dorothy explained that since she mooted the idea she’s been inundated with offers of help and has lots of people volunteering to lend a hand.
She said she feels many people are living in isolation which is especially highlighted at this time of year and that’s what prompted her to organise the event.
