Boyle Musical Society eagerly awaited Midsummer Concert took place Friday June 27th, in St. Joseph’s Church, Boyle to much acclaim.
The cast of 42 had been burning the afternoon, evening and midnight oil over the last few nights, rehearsing for what was undoubtedly one of the musical highlights of the summer, in Boyle! And to bring an extra dimension of drama and excitement to the event, they were joined, during several songs, by twenty eight children from the Boyle Youth Choir. Anybody that attended last year’s Celebration concert – and there were almost one thousand of you – will know that this concert was one not to be missed. Expect spellbinding solo performances, enchanting duets and big chorus numbers from musicals such as Les Miserables, Joseph…., Oliver, Hairspray, Blood Brothers, Sister Act and Chess along with contemporary classics from The Beatles, Queen and many more.
