Gardai investigate Ballagh robberies

Gardai in Ballaghaderreen and Castlerea are investigating a number of robberies in the town at the weekend.

In one incident at The Meadows, €20,000 worth of jewellery was taken when a house was unlawfully entered via a rear door between 7.45pm and 9.45pm on Saturday night.

The haul included rings, necklaces and bracelets.

Earlier in the day , at Barrack St, a white Revo Mountain Bike was taken from outside a house.

The previous day, St. Patrick’s Day, a car window was broken in the Cathedral car park when the occupants were attending 10 am Mass and a handbag with €275 worth of various items was taken.
