The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors lost to a stronger Clan na Gael outfit in the Division 1 League (O’Rourke Cup) in Johnstown on Sunday.

The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors will travel to Mulhern Park to play Fuerty on Friday evening next at 7pm in the next round of the Division 5 Adult Football League.

The U16s had a good win over neighbours St Michaels in the Division 4 League in the Abbey Park on Sunday.

The U14 Division 1 team got a walkover from Eire Og last week in the Division 1 League. Their next outing will be at home to Oran in the Abbey Park on Thursday at 7pm.

The U14 Division 4 team will play Clan na Gael in Johnstown on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The U12 Division 2 team started their Spring League campaign with a comfortable win over Eire Og on Friday evening last in the Abbey Park. Their next scheduled outing will be away to Strokestown on Thursday evening next.

The U12 Division five team are scheduled to play Western Gaels in the League on Friday evening. Both of the aforementioned U12 fixtures will be confirmed during the week.

Best wishes are extended to the Roscommon Seniors in the National League Division 2 Final in Croke Park on Sunday.

The Club is making arrangements to monitor and provide updates on the performances of all who have entered the “Know Your Sport” sports prediction competition. Log on to www.boylegaa.com regularly for updates.

The Club is encouraging all who have previously participated in the Club Rossie draw to join up immediately in order to be in the draw which will be held shortly. Club officers will make contact in the coming week. New members will be especially welcome.

The Club will be holding a used clothes collection in the coming weeks. Those who wish to dispose of used (clean) clothes and footwear should put them in plastic bags and bring them to the Clubroom by arrangement with Club officers.

The Club has been asked to assist in the hosting of this year’s Warriors Run 10k Race in aid of Multiple Sclerosis. A special meeting to commence the making of arrangements for this event will be held in the Clubroom on this Tuesday at 8pm. The Club invites not only our own Club members, but also representatives of other sporting organisations and those generally interested in assisting, to attend the meeting.

Basic first aid and AED (defibrillator) training for coaches will be held in the coming weeks. Further details to follow. Anyone interested to contact Jan Flanagan.

The Club wishes to thank Fergal O’Donnell for his excellent presentation regarding coaching held recently.

Sympathy is extended to the Hayden family, Marian Road on the death of Paddy, and with the Spellman family, formerly of Elphin Street on the passing of Jim.
