The following were €20 winners in the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Wynnes;- John Finneran, Anthony and Bernadette Keenehan, John Carroll, Kevin Healy, John McGuinn and James Clarke. The house prize was won by Monica McDermott. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €9,000 for Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Mattimoes. Team E will be in charge.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors’ scheduled O’Rourke Cup game versus Elphin was postponed on Sunday as a mark of respect to Padraig “Dolly” Beirne, brother of County PRO Colm Beirne whose untimely death occurred during the week. Boyle GAA Club extends its sympathy to Colm and the Beirne family. Our Seniors will host Padraig Pearses in the Abbey Park on Sunday next at 2 pm in the next round of the O’Rourke Cup.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors will play Kilglass Gaels on Wednesday week 17th June in the Division 5 League.
Club members and supporters are reminded that the final date for purchase of Club Rossie tickets is fast approaching. Tickets are available from Club Officers.
The Clubroom will be open again on Saturday next from 11am to 12 noon to receive bags of used clothes and footwear in our 2cash for clobber” project. Please use this opportunity to dispose of unwanted clothes or footwear.
The “know your sport” competition is nearing the half way point and although Steve Tonry has extended his lead, there are many more events which are subject to forecasting and most participants can still be the winners. Please check the league table on Boylegaa.com.
Congratulations to Roscommon hurlers on winning the Nicky Rackard Cup in Croke Park on Saturday. Best wishes to them as they take on Mayo on Sunday next to determine promotion to the next level.
Ladies Club:The Bazaar sponsored U12 girls lost their Division 1A county semi-final to Eire Og 1-5 to 1-4. Great team performances in all matches throughout the season. Thanks to the management team of Adrian, Sabrina, Mary and Denise.Tickets for the Roscommon Ladies GAA Draw are now available. Proceeds go towards the cost of running the co. teams and also the 500+ inter club competitions. Tickets are €50 and cover 26 draws.  €500 to be won every 2 weeks (€350 to the winner and €150 to the selling club).
