Boyle GAA club news update

There was no winner of this week jackpot of €5700. The numbers drawn were 25/28/29/31. Next draw Saturday 11th in Dodds for the jackpot of €5800. €20 winners were Brid & Conor Mc Gowan, Ronan Lavin & Denise Carty. Thank you to Brogans/Natural options for the envelope sponsorship as always.

The Cooney Motors sponsored Junior team put in a fine performance against St. Aidan’s in the Park on Friday evening last. Boyle worked hard from the off and were up by 2.12 to 2 at half time. And ran out eventual winners on the score line of 4.22 to 0.6. Lochlan Conboy was top scorer with 2.4 with the team captain Colin Goldrick scoring 6 points and was substituted at half time. It was great to see Mark O Donoughe back after being out for over 3 months with an injury and a Conor Flannagan after a long spell out injured also. The team for Boyle was. D Mc Govern, C Horan, C Beirne, C McGee, A Sharkey, C Brennan, J Regan, T Halligan, J Suffen, C Goldrick, R Hannon,C Flannagan, S Battles, L Conboy, J McCrann. The now face St. Josephs this Sunday morning in the Park at 12.

The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored senior team will take on Strokestown this Friday evening in a league game in Stokestown at 7.45. Your support for both teams in much appreciated.

The Club wishes James Harte St Michaels a speedy recovery following the injury he sustained in the Minor match on Thursday evening.

The Club extends sympathies to Padraic Mitchell , Gaelic Development Officer on the sad passing of his sister Ann. May she Rest In Peace.
