Boyle GAA news 17/2/14

There is an important monthly club meeting in the Clubroom Tuesday the 18th at 8.30pm. There are a number of very important items on the Agenda. All interested in, or involved in any aspect of Club activity are requested to attend. Please note that all future Senior Club Meetings are fixed for 3rd Tuesday of month.

The McGovern directional drilling Senior team will make their debut in the O’Rourke Cup (Division 1 League) on Sunday the 23rd February at 3.30pm when we will welcome All Ireland Club Champions St Brigids to the Abbey Park. The opposition doesn’t come any bigger than that, and we eagerly look forward to this encounter. From last year Cian Beirne and Karol Feighan will be unavailable having decided due to work commitments to play their club football with teams in Dublin. Ciaran Cox is currently working in London and is also unavailable for the foreseeable future. The club wishes them the very best and thanks them for their efforts over many years of playing for Boyle. On the up side having Roch Hanmore available will be a big boost to the team this year.

All Club Members supporters and friends of the Club are earnestly encouraged to purchase tickets for the GAA National Club Draw. They are available from Club Treasurer Mary Smith at 086 8211683 or any Club officer. There are 10 excellent prizes, including a trip for 2 to Australia, a trip to Boston.
