Boyle GAA club news

Thanks to the huge numbers who supported the Club’s Annual Quiz and Award Night in St Joseph’s Hall on Saturday night last. Over 40 teams negotiated Tony Conboy’s topical and quirky questions. The winning team was led by David Kelly and his friends. The following were the award winners;- Hall of Fame-Ernie Keenan, Club Person of the Year-Eugene Halligan, Senior (male) Player of the Year-Roch Hanmore, Senior (Ladies) Player of the Year-Emer Killilea, Junior Player of the Year=Conor Flanagan, U21 Player of the Year (joint winners)-Mark Goldrick and Joe Sweeney. Thanks to all who helped to make the event such a success, including those who prepared the Hall–before and after the event, Quizmaster Tony, the correctors, floor and door staff, those who donated spot prizes and those who operated the scoreboard and advertising technology. Thanks to our IT experts it was possible to display throughout the night the adverts of all those who have sponsored the various Club teams, those who sponsored prizes in the autumn fuel draw and those who were major sponsors, advertisers and donors of spot prizes for the recent “Who Wants to be a Thousandaire” event.
Boyle GAA Club (male clubs-senior and minor) will hold its AGM in the Clubroom on Saturday evening next 3rd January at 5pm. All who are interested in the continued development of Gaelic games in Boyle are requested to attend. Boyle GAA Clubs wish all players, management, officials, supporters, sponsors and the various forms of local media–written, photographic and web based, a very Happy and successful New Year and we extend a sincere thanks for your support and commitment in 2014. Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh go léir.
