The Winter League commenced last weekend with Gary Carty and Michael Rush leading the way on 46pts. Two teams Sean Heslin and Ted Hestor and Michael Simon and Paddy McLoughlin are joint second on 43pts. There are also two teams in joint last but neither Charlie O’Donnell or Michael Gilmartin wished to have their names published. Last week’s nine hole was won by Michael Reid with 23pts, 2nd Michael Gilmartin 23pts. Joint top of the leader board after four weeks are Michael Reid and Charlie O’Donnell both on 82pts.
Competitions for this week are the second round of the Winter League which can be played from Thursday to Sunday. Format will be a Fourball Betterball. The weekly nine hole can be played Monday – Sunday, entry is €5, re-entry €3.
Well done to our Ladies who won the Roscommon Cup in Ballaghadereen last weekend. The team were Tish Perry, Liz Dwyer, Moira Egan, Kathleen Candon, Susan O’Mahoney, Mary O’Hara and Aisling Gaughran
