A man was brought before a special sitting of Longford District Court on Monday evening following the seizure by Castlerea Gardai of an amount of tablet in the town at the weekend.
A woman was also arrested but she has since been released without charge.
The tablets have been sent for analysis.
The man has been remanded to appear before Tuam District Court.
