Chance to design a T-Shirt for Boyle

Boyle’s latest commercial venture is a T-shirt screen printing business called Keep the Fire Burning, and they are running a competition here on Boyletoday.com to design a T-Shirt for the town.

Keep the Fire Burning is run by locally based street artist Dale Collins who has had much success in the UK and US as an abstract artist and has been based in the West of Ireland for the past 3 years.

Dale said: “I’ve always had a passion for T-Shirt printing and the West of Ireland, so when I saw the studio space available in the Shambles near Boles of Boyle with all its lovely light, right next to the river, I thought it the perfect spot for me to work on my art and also run my T-shirt press.

“As someone who has fallen in love with this town, I remembered how some artist friends of mine back in Frome, Somerset, made this really cool T-Shirt for the town which actually helped make it famous in artistic circles and brought lots of income to the place. I thought why not do this for Boyle?

“Even better, why not make it a competition and get local talent involved?”

“So, the idea is that you can submit your T-Shirt design to [email protected] before 20th April along with your contact details”.

The designs will then be placed on the Keep the Fire Burning Facebook page here: fb.me/KeepTheFireBurningTShirtPrinting

and you will be able to vote for the winner.

The winning design will be announced on May 1st and the winner will receive €50 cash PLUS they will get €1 from each and every Boyle T-Shirt sold, with an additional €1 going to the winners nominated charity in Boyle.
