Diesel train visits Boyle on Saturday

The Irish Railway Record Society visited Boyle on Saturday on a special diesel rail tour to Sligo.

A GM 071 class locomotive and RPSI craven coaches were in use on the day.

The train left Connolly at 9.35am and returned from Sligo at 16.30/

The IRRS organises railtours, outings and visits to places of railway interest throughout Ireland and abroad.

The IRRS holds regular Dublin, Cork and London meetings, featuring lectures and slideshows based on Irish railway subjects.
