The Standards in Public Office Commission has published a report on the Roscommon South Leitrim By Election.
It shows €132,500 was spent by the 10 candidates in last Octobers Election.
The highest amount spent was for Maura Hopkins at €29,791
Next was Ivan Connaughton €28,130
Michael Fitzmaurice was third on €22,554
and in descending order
John Kelly €17,975
Martin Kenny €14,084
John McDermott €12,761
Tom Crosby €4,964
Des Guckian €2,070
Emmett Corcoran €434
According to the Standards in Public Office Commission, Independent candidate Gerry O’Boyle failed to provide the Commission with the required documentation by the deadline.
As a result, the Commission has referred a file in respect of Mr O’Boyle to the DPP.
