€4.5m asking price for Kilronan Castle

Well known local hotel Kilronan Castle between Keadue and Ballyfarnon  is on the market with a guide price of €4.5m

It’s sister hotel Lough Rynn Castle in Mohill is also for sale with a price tag of €3.5m

The two hotels are billed as “two of Ireland’s most luxurious castle hotels” and are being brought to the market as a going concern by Savills, on behalf of the Hanly Group.

Kilronan and Lough Rynn hotels are offered for sale separately or together in one lot and trade is not affected.

Kilronan Castle is a full service four star hotel with 84 impressive bedrooms, set upon a 40 acre estate. It is located on the edge of the scenic Lough Meelagh a short drive from Sligo. The Douglas Hyde Restaurant provides a “memorable” dining experience with both the Dungeon Bar and Drawing Room Bar providing impressive views of the neighbouring Lough Meelagh.

Other amenities include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool and spa.

Kilronan has established itself as a highly popular wedding venue and the contemporary conference & banqueting facilities are capable of accommodating up to 400 guests. Some 43 holiday homes which are a short distance from the main hotel also form part of the sale properties.

According to the selling agents “Both properties are trading very successfully and offer a fantastic opportunity for a new owner to build on the already excellent reputation”.

Tom Barrett, Head of Hotels & Leisure at Savills says, “We anticipate very strong interest for both Kilronan and Lough Rynn Castles. Viewing is highly recommended, it is the only way to really appreciate these unique, profitable hotels”.
