A major land and air search involving the Garda helicopter and dog unit took place Monday night in the Drumshanbo area.
It follows an altercation between three males and members of An Garda Siochana in the Mahanagh area yesterday evening.
Gardaí approached an English registered Ford Focus car which had failed to stop on August 16th at a checkpoint.
The three youths in the car proceeded to attack the Gardaí who deployed pepper spray.
Two of those involved were arrested but one escaped and still remains at large
