CRFC Minis travelled away to Creggs for Blitz on 10/10/2015

Last Saturday, Carrick Minis travelled in great numbers to Creggs RFC for their first outing of the season.  Earlier, a few parents and players had met at KFC car park in Carrick to help out with car pooling and then set off on their way.  At Creggs home ground, with plenty of time to spare before kick off, the Carrick players got sorted into their teams and followed their Coaches to the adjacent grounds.  With the largest number of new players ever, the Carrick players kicked off in their specific games.  There was plenty of encouraging support from the side-lines, for both the Carrick and Creggs players.  There were great displays of skill, speed and strength and every player seemed to be both focused and enjoying playing rugby again.  There were wins and losses through the various age grades and every player was a credit to themselves, their parents and their jersey & club.  It was great for the Coaches and parents to see all the players playing rugby again and doing so well.
Training continues, for 6-11 year old boys and girls, every Saturday at 10:30 am at Carrick RFC Minis, Keenaghan, Carrick on Shannon.  With the largest intake of new players than in any previous season, now would be a great time for any boy or girl to try out rugby with Carrick RFC Minis.  See: www.carrickrugbyclub.ie/1/minis/ or call/text 086 3867960 for more info.

World Cup Rugby & Carrick Cineplex

Carrick Cineplex may not be the Millennium Stadium but the tension and atmosphere equalled that of the Welsh venue as the large crowd cheered and sighed with Irelands up and downs, rounding off the day with a rendition of Ole, Ole, Ole. This match may end up costing Ireland heavily with potential injury losses of O’Connell, Sexton and O’Mahoney, while O’Brien must sweat it out waiting for a decision from the Citing Commissioner.

Next up is Argentina and Carrick RFC is once again delighted to be the beneficiaries of Carrick Cineplex’s screening of the Ireland Rugby World Cup quarter final.

Carrick Cineplex is proud sponsors of Carrick RFC and the screening of the game is open to all the public to come and watch Ireland in a venue with great atmosphere and excitement.

This is a family event and the cost of entry is €4 each or €15 for a family of 4 or more.  All funds raised will go towards much needed funding to help develop Carrick RFC’s new grounds.  Below is the list of Ireland games that will be screened at Carrick Cineplex and we recommend that viewers get there early to get a good seat!
