Lough Key Classic success

Over 160 riders took to the road this morning for the inaugural Lough Key Classic cycling sportive held in Boyle.

Three groups departed the town on 120k, 60k and a family spin.

All who participated were loud in their praise of the marshalling and catering for the event with many suggesting it was one of the best sportives in the country from an organisational and scenic point of view.

Irish TV filmed the event to broadcast on their County matters programme to air in the next number of weeks.

Details closer to the date.

A post race night out will take place later tonight (Saturday) in Patrick’s Well.
