Man dies in Cloonfad crash
A 35 year old man died Thursday when his car left the road and entered a river near Cloonfad on the Roscommon Mayo border.
The incident occurred at about 8am when the car left the R327 road between Cloonfad and Claremorris, and entered the Dalgan River.
The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed to Mayo University Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Emergency services have been at the scene thoughout the day and diversions were put in place.
