A man is due to appear before Ballyshannon District Court in relation to an incident in Boyle on Thursday night.
Entry was gained to a house on the Carrick Road and a car was taken.
The car was subsequently located outside Ballyshannon in Co. Donegal.
Following investigations, a man, who is not from the Boyle area, was arrested and appeared before Sligo court in relation to the incident.
The man was released on his own bail.
Meanwhile, investigations are also continuing into interference with cars in Forest View also on Thursday night.
Gardaí would not say if both incidents are related.
