A member of a well known midland traveller family was shot dead today at a wedding in Co Fermanagh.
Another man was also shot in the incident in Newtownbutler but it is understood his injuries are not life threatening.
The injured man who was in his sixties was driven in a white 141 WH registered Transit van to the local police station.
From there, he was airlifted to the South West Acute hospital in Enniskillen.
The shooting happened at St Mary’s Church on Bridge Street at around 1pm this afternoon.
It is believed the wedding ceremony continued following the shooting.
PSNI officers are investigating.
