Motorists travelling on the N4 Boyle – Dublin road on Monday morning are advised to allow extra time due to a road closure.
The N4 is closed between Rooskey and Newtownforbes due to an overnight fatal road traffic collision between a car and a tractor.
Diversions are in place and it is hoped the road will reopen later this afternoon.
The youth killed is understood to be in his late teens and from the Longford area.
