Narrow defeat for Corrigeenroe NS

Hard luck to a gallant and courageous St Teresa’s School from Corrigeenroe who narrowly lost out on being crowned All Ireland champions in the Aviva Stadium yesterday (Thursday).

Having reached the final, the girls lost out by a single goal to winners St. Brigid’s NS, Glenmakee on a scoreline of 2-1.

Earlier the Corrigeenroe team had come back from behind to win their first two games 3-3 and 3-1.

While disappointed not to have won the final, being All Ireland runner -up is an amazing achievement.

The squad was Sarah Kiernan, Daisy Attwood, Lucy Cogan, Alice Little, Molly Mulhern, Ava Bloor, Brianna Lennon and Ava Doherty.

Teacher Coaches were Louise Lavin and Ciaran O’Dwyer.
