Iarnrod Eireann have this week confirmed that automated ticket vending machines have recently been installed at three stations in Roscommon namely Boyle, Castlerea and Roscommon.
The machines allow customers to purchase tickets for rail travel and/or collect online pre booked tickets.
The company say that the installation of the machines will assist with revenue protection as those travelling will now have to have a ticket from the vending machine or booking office before travelling on a train.
