Passengers face morning train delays

Early morning rail users on the Dublin Sligo line that serves Boyle face delays again this morning.

The 5.45am train ex Sligo Connolly that departed Boyle at 6.17am has been delayed by at least 45 minutes due to a mechanical issue.

As a result of the this delay, the 07.33am service ex Boyle is now approx 10 minutes behind schedule.

The 09.33am service is due to run as normal.

This follows a similar delay on the same early morning service on Monday morning when the 5.45am train was delayed in Maynooth for over 30 minutes.

Passengers on the Westport to Heuston 5.20am train that serves Castlerea and Roscommon are also facing delays this morning due to animals on the track.
