Plans progress for St Patrick’s Day
This year’s Boyle St Patricks Day Parade promises to be the best ever with a special International flavour including traditional Samba Dancers!
Our Parade will commence at 3.30pm on Friday 17th March.
We encourage as many businesses, clubs and associations in Boyle to prepare over the coming weeks to partake in the Parade and enter a float.
Entering a float is free so do avail of the opportunity! 1st Prize for Overall Winner is €500 with a runner up of €200; There is also a Junior Section (under 16) 1st Prize is €200 and runner up €100 and of course the Perpetual Cup for the best dressed Window display in town.
The success of the Parade depends on the Community and Businesses to get involved and showcase Boyle at its best. Taking part with a float in the Parade offers a great opportunity to promote your club, school or business which we’re all very proud of.
Over the coming weeks letters will be dropped into businesses seeking contributions towards the Parade and the organising committee thank the Community always for the warm welcome they receive and their financial support.
The Parade costs in excess of €4000 annually to host with Insurance and Bands contributing greatly to the costs, however Patrick’s Day in Boyle has over the years always proved to be a most memorable and enjoyable day out for all the family and the organising crew promise that 17th March 2017 in Boyle will be better than ever before.
