Roscommon rent stands at €595 pm

The average cost of renting a house in Roscommon now stands at €595 per month, up 11% year on year, 3.3% quarter on quarter and 20.8% from their lowest point.

That’s according to this morning’s Daft.ie rental price report for the first three months of 2017.

Leitrim has the lowest rent in the country at €517 per month with neighbouring Mayo at €609 and Sligo at €644.

As expected, the most expensive place to rent is in Dublin at €1,668 followed by Wicklow (€1,168), and Kildare (€1,131).

The report also shows that  there were only 3,084 properties available to rent nationwide on 1 May, the second-lowest number on record.

There were only 595 homes available to rent in Connacht and Ulster on May 1st, largely unchanged from a year previously

The statistics are based on properties advertised on Daft.ie for a given period.
