St Joseph’s BNS are county champions

Pictured are the St. Joseph’s BNS Boyle team who won the Roscommon and District League Soccer Large School’s 7-a-side County Title in Donamon on Wednesday June 21st after defeating a very gallant Elphin side in a titanic battle.

This brought up a notable double for the school as they had earlier won the County 5-a-side tournament in April and represented their county in the Connacht final.

Thanks to Mr Hugh Murphy for his dedication to the school teams this year.

Indeed it was a very notable sporting year for the boys as they also reached the Cumann na mBunscol Large Schools Gaelic final where they put up a very gallant battle before losing by two points to a very strong Creagh team.

The school would like to thank the Boyle Celtic Soccer Club and Boyle GAA Club who are very supportive of the boys efforts and who are obviously putting in a lot of work at underage level.

St. Joseph’s BNS are also very thankful to all the parents and grandparents who have helped and supported us this year and who are a great source of encouragement to this very talented group of lads.
