Boyle Show goes ahead despite rain

After some early morning sun, the rain made an unwelcome return for Boyle Horse and Summer Show on Sunday.

Following torrential downpours, the decision was taken to abandon some of the horse jumping sections.

But all the other events went ahead much to the delight of the attendance who came out in numbers to support the local Show.

There were many fringe attractions and stalls to entertain the crowd including the dog show with it’s numerous classes.

The champion dog of the show belonged to Jessica Wright with Jo Gurney and Kathy Hannon’s dogs in second and third.

The Lough Arrow Estates cup made a welcome return to the show and was presented to Samantha Balfour for the supreme champion horse of the Show by the Prager Family.

Well done to the organising committee who must have had a few sleeplessness nights with the inclement weather but who still went ahead with the Show.
