A temporary closure of the N4 on Saturday 28th seen an increase in traffic through Boyle for a period of time.
The road closure took place on the N4 from Collooney to Castlebaldwin village commencing at 9am Saturday 28th October to facilitate the removal of an articulated vehicle from the road verge at Cloonlurg on the N4.
Diversion for Dublin bound traffic was via the N17 at Toberbride Roundabout, R293 to Ballymote , R295 to Boyle and N61.
Diversion for Sligo Bound traffic was via L-1404/L-1601 Castlebaldwin to Ballymote, R293 and N17.
The road reopened shortly after 5pm with Boyle man Liam McGlynn and “Catherine” playing an integral part of the recovery process.
