Travel advice for Saturday’s match

Roscommon senior GAA team take on Clare in the All Ireland qualifier game on Saturday in Salthill.

The following traffic advice has been issued:

Traffic in Galway City on Saturday will be busy and this game will result in increased traffic in the Galway, Salthill and Pearse Stadium areas. Consequently, we urge all Supporters and Patrons to arrive early, in order to avoid the traffic congestion and delays.

Ample car parking spaces will be available adjacent to Pearse Stadium in Colaiste Einde, Threadneedle Road and in Scoil Einde on Dr. Mannix Road, for those who arrive early.

We request all Supporters to park in the designated Car Parks and to park legally and responsibly, at all times and we appeal to all Supporters attending the game to be conscious, mindful and respectful to the needs of local residents.

A town bus service operates from Eyre Sq to Pearse Stadium. This 401 bus runs from Eyre Square Stop 9 to Dr Mannix Rd GAA HQ (Pearse Stadium) Buses leave Eyre Square every 20 mins on the hour, 20 past and 20 to the hour and it’s a 20 minute journey.

From Salthill one goes every 20 minutess back into Eyre Square.

All supporters are encouraged to travel and support the Roscommon team. Tickets are still available from Roscommon GAA, and selected Supervalu and Centra stores.
