Investigations have commenced into the deaths of a nine-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man in Co Sligo overnight.
The young boy was found with stab wounds at the house in Banad, Tourlestrane, Tubbercurry last evening.
He was removed from the scene by air ambulance to Sligo Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The man’s body was found outside a shed at the same location.
It is believed that they were related to each other.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
The scene has been preserved by gardai.
