The number of people claiming unemployment assistance in the Boyle area has dropped to 509 for the month of June 2019
This compares to a figure of 571 for the same period last year – June 2018.
The most recent CSO figure for June 2019 show 274 males and 235 females claiming assistance
58 claimants are aged under 25 and 451 are over 25 years of age.
In Carrick on Shannon the unemployment figure for June 2019 was 1,337 while Castlerea had 984 signing on.
In Roscommon county there were 2,117 people on the live register in June.
