Visiting restrictions are in place at University Hospital Galway due to the winter vomiting bug.
A sign has been erected at the hospital’s main entrance advising visitors of the outbreak.
A spokesperson for the HSE says that a small number of patients have been affected, and internal measures have been taken to deal with the outbreak.
The HSE is advising that visiting restrictions are at ward level, and are not impacting on the entire hospital.
