The HSE has confirmed that there are over 200 children in Co. Roscommon awaiting Speech and Language therapy
At a meeting of the HSE Regional Forum, HSE management confirmed that 152 children in Co Roscommon are currently awaiting assessment for speech & therapy, while 227 children in the county who have already been assessed are waiting for the therapy to start.
The number of children referred for speech & language therapy in county over the past five years has increased by 100%.
