An power fault in the Boyle area has affected 617 customers this morning.
It comes as high winds batter the north west coast of Ireland with gusts of over 100kph being reported.
A nationwide wind warning is now in effect until 9pm tonight.
The power went off at 11.05am and ESB Networks has given an estimated time for power to be restored as 15.00.
Power may be restored before that time and consumers should treat all electricity as live during the outage.
A number of customers in the Gurteen and Knockvicar areas are also currently without power.
ESB Networks sat they are currently working to repair the fault and will restore power as quickly as possible.
