Details of ‘Boyle Celtic Community Hub’ announced

Boyle Celtic is delighted to officially announce the commencement of its latest development to date – the “Celtic Community Hub” – a multi-purpose facility designed to meet the growing needs of both the club and the wider Boyle community. The project was launched in King House Boyle on Sunday evening last with a large crowd in attendance.
Treasurer Leanne Jenkins explained that funding had been successfully achieved through Roscommon Leader and the Community Sports Facilities Fund, thanks to excellent work from the project sub-committee.
The new Celtic Community Hub will include four modern male and female dressing rooms, a referees’ room, a fully equipped first aid room, a storage facility, a spectator room, and a versatile community function room capable of seating up to 100 people. These additions represent a significant enhancement of the club’s infrastructure and reflect its continued growth and vision for the future.
The development is the next phase of a transformative four-year period for Celtic Park. Recent investments have seen the installation of a full-size floodlit 4G Astro pitch, an 8-a-side all-weather pitch, a new 170-seat spectator stand, and expanded car parking with dedicated disabled spaces. These improvements have positioned Boyle Celtic as one of the leading grassroots football clubs in the region.
Club committee member Aaron O’Connor commented: “This is a proud day for everyone associated with Boyle Celtic. The Celtic Community Hub not only meets the needs of our 800+ playing members, coaches and officials, but it also provides a high-quality space for community use – from meetings and workshops to social events, parties and external club events.
The Celtic Community Hub aims to be more than just a sports facility. With its flexible function room, the hub is set to become a focal point for local gatherings, promoting greater engagement between the club and the wider community it serves.
On behalf of the club, Leanne extended sincere thanks to all members, volunteers, funders and supporters who have played a part in making this vision a reality. She acknowledged the great work done by the 50-50 draw committee and thanked everyone in the community for their continued support.
The club looks forward to the next chapter as it continues to build on a proud tradition of football, community spirit, and inclusivity. Works are due to commence immediately.
