The death has occurred of Brenda Harrington, (née Murphy), The Maples, Salthill, Galway and formerly of Boyle, Co. Roscommon and St. Mary’s Park, Galway.
On April 4th, 2026, Brenda passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her adoring family after an illness borne with grace and dignity. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Vincent Harrington and her parents Paddy and Eileen Murphy.
Brenda will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken daughter Kate and sons John, Colm and Benen, their spouses and partners Brian, Cristina, Andrew and Kezia, her adored grandchildren Fionn, Oisín, Saorla, Clara, Liam and Mateo, her sisters Evelyn and Mary, brother Philip, nieces and nephews, the Thornton family, Brian, Kevin, Fiona and Claire, the extended Harrington and Murphy families and wide circle of friends.

Brenda will lie in Repose at her home in the Maples, Salthill (H91 DXN6) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, 7th April, 2026
Funeral will arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Boyle, Co. Roscommon (F52 TY46) in advance of Requiem Mass therein at 12 noon. Live streaming link: https://www.boyleparish.ie/web-cam/ Following Mass, Brenda will be laid to rest with her husband Vincent at Assylinn Cemetery, Boyle. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations (if so desired) will be gratefully accepted by the Irish Cancer Society.
