Commenting on the Song Contest Festival Director Brendan Hurley said: “As we launch this year’s Night and Day Songwriting Competition, it’s hard not to reflect on how meaningful it has become to the festival over the past five years. From the outset, our aim was to create a genuine platform for emerging songwriters to develop their craft and be heard. Year after year, the standard of entries continues to rise, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see artists go on to release music, tour, and build sustainable careers.”

Creative Director at Night and Day festival Declan Hurley said: “Now in its fifth year, the song contest continues to grow every year. Previous winners have been amongst the festival highlights and no doubt will be again this year.”
