Gardaí are understood to have recovered a body from Lough Gara on Saturday afternoon.
It is believed the body is that of missing Bunninadden man Kenneth McKeon who was last seen on Monday morning when he left home to travel to work in Boyle.
No one else is being sought in connection with the discovery.
