Boyle GAA club weekly update

Karen and Adrian Brogan, Sarah Keville and Mary Nerney were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in the Creighton’s Bar. The jackpot wasn’t won. It will be at €1,200 for the next draw on Saturday Sept 23rd which will be held in Daly’s Bar.

Well done to McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored senior team who qualified for the semi-final of the senior championship after defeating Strokestown on Saturday evening in Boyle. They now face Roscommon Gaels in the semi-final. Venue, time and date TBC.

The Cooney Motors sponsored junior team play Kilmore in the junior B championship next Saturday in Kilmore at 5:45pm.

A public meeting will be held at 8 pm in the Spool Factory Event Centre, Boyle on Saturday Sept 30th, for all the community of Boyle to discuss the further development of Boyle GAA club. The meeting is being independently chaired by outside facilitators. Your ideas and input will be greatly appreciated on the night. Looking forward to seeing you there. The meeting will conclude at 9.30pm.

UNDERAGE:

The U-12 division one team drew St. Dominic’s last week. The U-12 division 5 team play Kilbribe Thursday Sept 21st in the Abbey park at 6:45 pm.

The U-14 team play Roscommon Gaels on Saturday Sept 23rd in Orchard park, Elphin at 2:30.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

Minor championship on 30th Sept v’s St. Brigids, details tbc.

U-14 quarter final will be on 1st Oct, details tbc.

The club have a number of tickets to sell for the annual Roscommon LGFA Draw. Proceeds go towards the cost of running the Co. teams, Underage Co. Development panels and Inter club competitions.

Tickets are €50 and cover 26 draws.

€500 to be won every 2 wks (€350 to the winner and €150 to the selling club).
