The following were €20 winners in the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Clarke’s Bar; Lorcan Egan, Monica and Tom Commons, Tom Mullaney, John C (Cloonloo), Michael Smyth and John Grady. There was no jackpot winner. Next Saturday night’s draw will be held in the Patrick’s Well with Tam C in charge, where the jackpot will be €6,300.

Congratulations to Mary Clifford and Kevin Ward who were winners of €1,000 each in the Club Rossie Draw which was held on Friday night last. Thanks to all our loyal supporters of Boyle GAA Club who purchased Club Rossie tickets. It was nice to have two winners.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors were unable to field a team on the Division 4 League against Michael Glavey’s on Saturday evening last because of a spate of player injuries. Their next scheduled outing will be against Kilglass Gaels on the 21st of June.

The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors were among the many senior club teams in the County who were unable to fulfil their fixtures because of unavailability of county Senior panelists. This is drawing much attention throughout the county and many will have an opinion on it but it is worth noting that Mayo played club games at the weekend. The teams next outing will be in the senior championship when they are scheduled to play Elphin in Croghan on Friday evening 13th June. This will be followed by two O’Rourke Cup games in the following week, the first away to Padraig Pearses on Wednesday 18th June and they will host St Faithleachs in the Abbey Park on Sunday 22nd June.

The unveiling and blessing of the Eoin Lavin commemorative seat which was scheduled for Sunday had to be postponed because of the postponement of the O’Rourke Cup game with Strokestown. An alternative date will be determined shortly.

Congratulations to all children from Boyle Parish who received their First Holy Communion at the weekend.

The U14 boys were beaten by Strokestown on Thursday evening last. They are scheduled to play the winners of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels or Tulsk this Saturday at 12, at a venue to be confirmed in a division 2 play off. Once we know where this game is we will update on Facebook and Twitter.

The Ladies suffered a 3 points defeat to Roscommon Gaels in in the Junior League Semi Final in Lisnamult on Saturday evening.  By all accounts this was a game they threw away and will hope to use it as a motivating factor in their next game. The team is having an encouraging year so far though and hopefully can maintain their good form.
