To be eligible to win first place in the Mens’ Captains Prize competition you must have played in one 18 hole qualifying competition in the club this year, have a valid WHS handicap, and be in “good standing” as regards membership. There will be a Scramble on the Friday evening beforehand open to all club members, men and women, please have names in for 6, with shotgun start 6.30. Food on Captains Day itself will be a barbecue, with the meat being very kindly sponsored once again by Club Member Tom Kearney’s business, Quality Meats, Wine St Car Park, Sligo. The competition will be the usual 18 hole Stroke with a 9 hole playoff, with presentation immediately afterwards. There will be 1 or 2 tough pins on the day! It would be great to see a good turnout, the best of luck to everyone who takes part.
