Boyle Musical Society recently announced that it had planned to stage the musical ‘The Clockmaker’s Daughter’ this November.
However, due to a change in personal circumstances affecting a key member of our production team, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s show.
We extend our full support and very best wishes to our director Vivienne, her husband John and their family.
Organising a production that meets the high standards now expected of BMS is a complex and time-consuming process. At this point in time, with rights secured and all arrangements in place, we would normally be preparing for rehearsals to begin. Unfortunately, given how late it is in the year, starting over is not feasible.
Consequently, we are momentarily stopping the pendulum for ‘The Clockmaker’s Daughter’ and will not be staging a full musical in 2026.
We plan to revisit the show in 2027.
Boyle Musical Society has always thrived on a strong sense of loyalty, and we trust that our members and the wider community will understand and support this difficult decision.
Looking ahead, we hope to unveil exciting projects in the near future, continuing the tradition of enriching the cultural and musical life of Boyle.
