‘Cruinniu na nOg’ returns with a vibrant programme of free creative events

Roscommon is set to come alive with creativity on Saturday June 6th as Cruinniú na nÓg returns with a vibrant, county-wide programme of free creative events for children and young people of all ages.

On the day there are a number of events taking place in Boyle.

From hands-on workshops in art, music, theatre, crochet, radio, and street art, to live performances, exhibitions, and interactive experiences, there’s something to spark every young imagination. Young people can try their hand at vinyl design, sculpture, comedy, storytelling, drumming, and even mural-making, while early years audiences can enjoy magical performances, creative play, and family-friendly festivals.

Events are taking place right across the county — in Roscommon Town, Boyle, Ballaghaderreen, Castlerea, Strokestown, and Monksland — offering opportunities for young people to connect, create, and showcase their talents in welcoming community spaces.

Highlights include a lively Funfest at Strokestown Park, a collaborative Wonder Walls street art experience, creative workshops in Roscommon Arts Centre, and a range of drop-in activities, exhibitions, and performances designed to celebrate youth creativity in all its forms.

We warmly encourage community groups, youth organisations, and families to get involved—whether by attending events, spreading the word, or supporting young people to take part.

Let’s make this a day of creativity, connection, and celebration for young people across Roscommon!
