“€117,567.47 has also been allocated to Irish Pallet Systems Ltd, located in Ballyclare, Lanesboro, for the enhancement of its business facilities.

“I am also pleased that Roscommon Integrated Development Company CLG has received €29,644 to conduct an extensive study of the rural economy in eight areas of the county while Roscommon LCDC has received €5,537 to carry out a a feasibility study to develop a new tourism product focusing on monastic sites along the Shannon-Erne Waterways.

“These funding approvals for local projects by Minister Michael Ring, Minister for Rural and Community, is more welcome news for the county. These grant allocations are supporting jobs and investment right across the county.

“LEADER funding represents an enormous opportunity for rural businesses and communities that are in need of investment and I am glad the programme is continuing to grow and make a difference for Roscommon.”
