‘Road to Croker’ excitement builds

Boyle GAA have announced final details of Friday night’s ‘Road to Croker’ event . With the event now gaining national press coverage, it promises to be an event that no gaelic football fan can afford to miss.

An evening with GAA decision makers, change makers and trouble makers’, the night will feature plenty of lively discussion from a host of well-known GAA names from past and present in St Joseph’s Hall in Boyle this Friday, June 30.

Sunday Game pundits Joe Brolly and Martin Carney, two-time All-Ireland winning manager John O’Mahony, legendary Roscommon goalkeeper Shane Curran, Connacht GAA secretary John Prenty, former Galway footballer and Dublin selector Brian Talty and Collie Moran, former Dublin footballer and columnist with The Irish Sun.

Amongst the topics up for discussion, the panel will give their views on the current state of Gaelic Football and the direction in which it is headed, while attendees will be invited to submit questions to the panel to provoke plenty of interesting (and possibly heated) debate. Of course, Roscommon’s upcoming Connacht final appearance will also be featured.

Master of Ceremonies on the night will be Boyle senior manager Tomás Morley and there will also be a cameo from JOE’s own Conor’s Sketches, who has prepared a special sketch for the event; those in attendance can expect these kinds of antics from Ger Loughnane, Joe Brolly and company on the night…

Admission for the event is €10, while there will be a raffle on the night for an All-Ireland Football Final weekend in Dublin, including two tickets to the final itself. A donation from the proceeds will be made to the Irish Kidney Association.

Doors open at 7:45pm, with ‘throw-in’ scheduled for 8:30pm. There will be a bar facility in the hall on the night. For further information on tickets, you can email[email protected] or phone (086) 8526329. You can also buy your tickets on the night .
