Financial support needed for parade

Work is progressing apace for next weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in Boyle.

The organisers are presently calling on all businesses in the town seeking donations to offset the running costs of the parade.

According to the organisers “It is an expensive day between insurance, prize money, bands etc and the cost of running the parade is in excess of €4,000 annually. We cannot do this without the generosity and support of the local businesses.”

“In this regard we are appealing to Boyle businesses to donate to the parade”

Members of the committee are presently calling to all establishments seeking your support.

They also encourage as many as possible to enter a float on the day to make the event as full and as fun as possible.

Boyle St. Patrick’s Day parade will commence at Mockmoyne at 3.30pm on March 17th.

More details here on next week.
