Follow up mammogram service

Tenders are now being invited for the provision of a mobile follow-up mammography service in Sligo.

The mammography machine at Sligo Regional Hospital was removed in February 2014 and has not since been replaced.

While the new service will not diagnose or detect breast cancer, it will provide follow-up mammograms for women who have survived breast cancer, and must currently travel to Galway for annual check-ups.

Tenders are now being invited for the new mobile mammography unit, with a closing date of 14th December.
