Gardai from around County Roscommon will host the sixth annual harvest gathering for older people today Wednesday 5th October.
Organised by the local Garda units in Roscommon, Castlerea, Boyle and Ballaghaderreen, the event will commence with Mass in St. Brigid’s Church, Fourmilehouse at 12 pm.
It will be followed by the hosting of information stands in Kilbride Community Centre and entertainment by the Garda Band.
Refreshments and spot prizes will be provided by local businesses throughout the county.
Transition Year students from the Convent of Mercy Secondary School, Roscommon will also lend assistance on the day.
