Gardaí in the North West are warning householders of rogue salespersons.
In recent days Gardaí have received reports of salespersons arriving at the doors of people living alone in rural areas and offering for sale equipment and furniture or services such as kerb laying.
In some cases aggressive sales techniques are being used or people are being forced to pay exorbiant prices for household items
The public are being asked to contact Gardaí or use the text alert system if they receive such housecalls or notice any strange vans in their area.
